If you wish to stay for a week or two, or longer, there are more than enough places to visit on a daily basis.  East Yorkshire is a lovely County, and the neighbouring Counties of West and North Yorkshire, also have some really beautiful places to visit.  Day trips further afield could include Harrogate and we can personally recommend a trip to Ripley, which is between Harrogate and Thirsk.  There is a Castle there and a really pretty historic village, and the most delicious Ripley Icecream (we think it is the best we have ever tasted!) sold from a 'going back in time'  delicatessen and sweet shop.

It is not too far to visit York for a day trip.  There is a very good park and ride service there and it is a very interesting historic city with lots of interesting shops and museums.  Betty's Tearooms are famous for their high quality offerings and very courteous old fashioned service.  It's a bit like stepping into the 1920's/30's.

By travelling over the Humber Bridge, you may like to visit Lincoln, which is another very interesting historic city.  There is a castle, riverside cafes and lots of interesting shops.  Also on the south side of the River Humber, if you are interested in antiques, you might like to visit the Hemswell Antique Centre.   

If you travel down the M62 and then the M18 towards Doncaster, the Yorkshire Wildlife Park is a fantastic day out.

We are conveniently situated for daily travel into Hull, Beverley or further afield.   There is also a really good park and ride service going into Hull (just three to four miles away, at Priory Park, just off the A63).

It is also very easy to get to Brough, Elloughton, Brantingham, South Cave, North Cave, Gilberdyke, Selby, Goole and Howden, North Ferriby, Swanland, Hessle, Anlaby, Cottingham, and Willerby, to name but a few of the surrounding locations.
