Eastdale Bed and Breakfast

Your hosts

Hello, I am Liz and my husband is Paul.  We both look forward to welcoming you to Eastdale Bed and Breakfast.  We will be glad to help with any questions or requests you might have during your stay.

We have both lived in Melton for many years and were born in East Yorkshire and so have acquired good local knowledge of the Hull area and its neighbouring towns and villages.

We look forward to your visit!

You will be made very welcome at Eastdale Bed and Breakfast, and it is our wish that you will have a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Our rooms are spotlessly clean with attractive decor and quality furnishings.

Please feel free to ask us if you need anything - we will always do our best to help.

We are members of "Welcome to Yorkshire" and, due to Covid-19 we have had to remove all their tourist information leaflets from the hall.  However, we suggest that guests make use of our free wifi and look online for tourist information.  We would also be more than happy to advise on places to visit if you are thinking of exploring the area should you need any help deciding where to go, as there is quite a choice!

Melton itself is a nice West Hull village and is close to many other villages, such as  Welton, North Ferriby, Swanland, Westella, Kirkella, Cottingham, Anlaby, Brough, Elloughton, Brantingham, South Cave, North Cave and beyond!  Nearby towns include Hessle, Beverley, Hull and across the Humber Bridge it is not too far to travel to Lincoln.

Anyone interested in antiques, may like to visit Hemswell Antiques Centre, which is situated within an old disused RAF base, on the way to Lincoln.  Well worth a visit - it is vast!

East Yorkshire has many attractions and Eastdale bed and breakfast in Melton is a very convenient place to stay. Visitors may wish to experience a day at Beverley Races, or take a trip to York.  There are very many interesting shops in York, some situated down very old cobbled streets and a visit to Betty's Tearoom for afternoon tea is an experience not to be missed!

In Hull City Centre, there are three Shopping Centres, several museums, cinemas, theatres, many places to eat and drink, and there is also Ferens Art Gallery.  When visiting Hull, do not miss the chance of visiting The Deep.  This is a really large aquarium, housing very unusual deep sea creatures, plus sharks and manta rays to name but a few.  The latest addition has been the arrival of some penguins, who are comfortably housed in a very realistic antarctic setting.

Eastdale Bed and Breakfast is a 'stone's throw' away from the Yorkshire Wolds Way - a beautiful walk which starts in Hessle, passes through North Ferriby, Melton and Welton (in the immediate vicinity) and then eventually travels right across the Yorkshire Wolds  up to Filey on the East Coast.

The East Coast is easily accessible by car, buses or train.  Coastal towns such as Bridlington, Bempton, Filey, Scarborough and Whitby are all very nice for a day out.

Inland you could travel to Pickering and take the North York Moors steam train to Goathland, a beautiful spot famed for the TV series Heartbeat.

Whilst you are staying at Eastdale bed and breakfast, we can also recommend some good places to go for a really nice evening meal.  There are very many pubs, restaurants, bistros, and cafes in the Hull area.

WE HOPE YOU HAVE A REALLY ENJOYABLE STAY AT EASTDALE BED AND BREAKFAST!
